The Recon delivers accuracy without the weight of a full-size precision rifle. It weighs 7.65 lbs. empty. The 16" heavy barrel is made from bead-blasted, 416 stainless steel. It has 6 grooves with a 1:9" right twist and an AAC flash hider that eliminates muzzle flash without affecting accuracy. It is chambered 5.56 NATO with front and rear Magpul back-up sights, and a mid 4-rail free-float handguard. The upper receiver is a Mil-Spec A3-style flattop upper forged of 7075 T6 aluminum. Lower Receiver is also forged from 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum. The Recon has Magpul MOE stock and grip, as well as an enhanced trigger guard. Extended, it measures in at 37"; collapsed length is 33.25".
